From a very early age onward, I've been told that I remind people of a little old lady that's moved beyond societal norms. (Ever see "Harold and Maude"? Being told you are 'exactly like' Maude is rather alarming when you're 18.) It's only now, at 25, that I'm starting to celebrate my true age. (In pagan terms, my being a 'Maiden'.) That doesn't mean I'm not going to continue having fun, as Martha so wonderfully put it, a 'happy old bat'!

Rrrrrr, I messed it up. It's 26 years. Lemme double check:

40-14=26

It's right. I'm not four, I'm going to be 14. I just forgot to subtract 10. Now that's a scary thought.

The average is still about 29.5.

Since young people are practically 'raised' on the internet, it makes sense that the first people to just about anything online will be younger that those who come along later. The average age will probably go up more once the state of Ohio finishes voting.

Speaking of Feb 29, we have a friend who was born Feb 29, 1980, and earlier this year, we gave him a 'Happy 6th Birthday' Card. He was duly amused.

Oh yeah...the topic....I am 35, and the age distribution is about what I expected before I peaked at the results....honest.

How is this poll going to determine an average age? It can only report on the data asked and only an age group is requested. We can not determine an average or mean age from the data - only the rankings of populated groups.

Sorry to burst the mathmatical bubble.

Each specific age must be asked, tallied, and then computed for the desired result.
