Now the teller I was talking to went to lunch and there's no guarantee that I'll hear an answer today. I've been here for 2 hours. I'm going to stop hoping. I'll wait a bit more before I just accept defeat. Definitely closing my account after this travesty. I am disgusted.

They have a half hour before I have to leave to get ready for work, which I am apparently doing for free. I don't want to go to work. What's the point. I'm going hungry, anyway, and all those people want to do is stuff their faces and talk incessantly about food. It's bad enough I'm sitting in a damn supermarket and won't be getting anything!

Maybe Goodwill will give me the 3 hours of pay they owe me as a gift card or something today. I don't know. Honestly, I don't have hope in anything.

I don't want to live off of others, anyway. I guess I'm just a loser in life. I'll just die. It's better than this false hope nonsense. I strongly feel that I have been cursed. It's the only thing I can think of that explains all this bull****. I'm just not meant to be a successful person. It doesn't seem to have much to do with anything I do. I do the right thing, I get a job and work. But it doesn't matter. None of this matters. I can't get basic things I need.

Great, I think I broke my tv remote. I threw it down in a fit of rage and now it doesn't want to work and the tv is acting weird. This thing has been banged around for years but now it craps out. The remote is working now, thankfully. I don't know what was going on earlier, but I was really angry in the first place and not thinking correctly.

Work was nice, for the most part. There's two new people on my team and it seems like they'll be there permanently. One is a trans woman and she seems cool. I am pretty much stealth in my life so hardly anyone knows unless I feel comfortable telling them. I may tell her because we need to stick together. People are rude about the trans stuff and make ignorant remarks. Heard a few dumb ones today. But if I hear more stupid comments, I will say something to management. I don't like that crap. It's disrespectful. People can think what they want, but we're here to work and be professional.

The other new person on my team knows his job but he is always wearing earbuds and not listening. That is so annoying. But other than that, I'm pleased with the extra help. Now I don't have to do such a gigantic area by myself, and with only one other person to do their own gigantic area.

They give me a $50 prepaid card to cover the 3 hours of pay they owe me, so that's been taken care of. Of course it's basically gone now as food as ridiculously expensive.

As for my paycheck, I am going to the Downtown branch tomorrow and demand to speak to a manager. I have not gotten to speak to a manager in person yet!

Now no one is answering the phone at the downtown branch. I just wanted to make sure there's a manager there. That's not a good sign. What the hell is going on with this bank.

I went to the bank and spoke to a manager. It was a huge waste of my time. He just gave me the "I can't do anything about it" bs with some fake sympathy at the end. I told his *** I'm closing my account and stormed out. They are refusing to help me and treat me like trash. I bet if I went there in a suit, they'd ****ing help me! I will never bank with a large corporate bank again!

Now I'm supposed to wait until next week for my check. Well, I'm going to need help because my BP medication and cholesterol medication are going to run out before that. So I'm stuck in the position of still having to beg for help.

The weather is even horrible. It's cold, very gloomy and extremely windy. The wind gusts downtown are insane. So I went out in that to just have my time wasted.

That idiot had the nerve to ask me if I had a credit card, to use to survive until next week. I have never had a credit card in my life! I wouldn't need one if they would stop holding my paycheck hostage without explanation!

That's exactly why I never got one. They're a debt trap.

I think it should be illegal to hold people's paychecks. It's one thing if it's a shoddy under the table check from an individual or whatever. But if it's from a known organization and issued from a major bank, wtf is the issue???

So is everything these days. That's not an excuse for ****ing people over without reason and playing games with them for literally days. Now I am taking my money from them and going elsewhere. That's what happens when you give terrible customer service.

My point is that it is not against any laws for a bank to make money. When I worked in banking, we always had fees and we also would never give any money out unless a check had cleared or there were at least matching funds in the bank. Because the bank was there to make money.

How does me getting my paycheck impede them from making money? They're not making money either way from it. There's no loan or fee involved here. Actually, they lost some money since they had to refund maintenance fees because it made my account overdrawn, caused by them holding my check!
