Frank's journal of whatever

Kathryn

It was on fire when I laid down on it.
How does me getting my paycheck impede them from making money? They're not making money either way from it. There's no loan or fee involved here. Actually, they lost some money since they had to refund maintenance fees because it made my account overdrawn, caused by them holding my check!
See my above edited response.

There actually is a maintenance fee involved.

My point is that it is not against any laws for a bank to make money. When I worked in banking, we always had fees and we also would never give any money out unless a check had cleared or there were at least matching funds in the bank. Because the bank was there to make money.
Listen, I get it. But at the end of the day, this is at their discretion and so they can choose to do it or not. They have no reason to withhold my paycheck from me and in fact, they never gave me a specific reason why it's being held! It's not going bounce! And of course I don't have over $600 in my account because I was unemployed for like half the year with no income! They could've been more understanding, and they could've not played games with me and not lied to me.

As I said before, banks are just not for poor people. They should tell people that upfront.

I don' t know about how they treated you. I wasn't there and wasn't involved. If they don't regularly get checks from people or companies though, I do understand them holding it till it cleared. There are tons of faked checks out there. But they could have called the issuing bank but not every time. It's easier to put a hold on checks than try to run them down.

He could've called or emailed the department right then and there. He just chose not to do anything at all. Even the other manager at least said he emailed them (I don't know if he did or didn't as I never spoke to him directly). Now I'm done talking about this as the issue is settled and I'm no longer doing business with them.

Well, I guess I am glad to hear that.
