That's an even harder question then the one I posted.

I like even better.

Who's will is it, if not your own?

That's a good formulation of the notion. But one might ask what is this "will" that is able to act of its own volition?

The more one examines the question, the more absurd the notion becomes.

It makes sense in certain metaphysical beliefs is souls and god. Out side of this context I think the term is meaningless.

No doubt! I've asked the question before and, so far as I can recall, it's either been ignored or dismissed, but never answered.

The question is odd.. What is a will acting according to its own will? --But the answer still involves matter (physical properties), and the laws of physics.

Determinism is a cause, not a force.

So many make that error. Especially those who believe in inevitability implied by determinism.

Those cause are or at least can be forces, like society.

Free will is easy, especially if you subscribe to any of the following statements:

1. There is a world.
2. There is mind.
3. Mind exists in relation to the world.
4. Mind is individual.

That's all it takes.

Edit: I don't see it as particularly pertaining to naturalism.

I would like say yes but it cant be. They have to be both remain true or it would be absurd. So then free will is you becoming the determniner.
