Just remember that if you keep falling into that role, it's probably due to the fact that you're comfortable there.

Always a good idea to try and make contact with some people outside of your comfort zone (cuz that's where all the new stuff is).

I think I keep falling into that role because I am too nice and fairly forgiving.

Its a little difficult for my situation where I am, currently trying to find friends through a few websites as I cant really go to night classes or anything. Not sporty either. Work mostly with married dudes who think hanging out means I want to bone them lol.

I have that people are often too willing, eager even, to stab you in the back, leave you stranded, sell you out, turn their back on you, and nowhere to be found when you need them. Personally I only consider people I can trust to be friends, everyone else is just an acquaintance of sorts. It doesn't mean I won't be friendly with someone, it just means that I do not consider them a friend and I am very selective with what they know about me.
