Ok so I have been seeing this "religion" called The flying Spaghetti something. Is it even a real religion?? Please don't be sarcastic, I have a hard time telling if a person is being sarcastic or not :)

So any one have an answer

Depends on what you mean by a religion. There are people that practice, but most consider the FSM itself to be a joke directed towards Intelligent Design groups.

It's just as real as the clouds and the ground beneath you. It is not to be taken sarcastic, it is not a joke, if anyone says so they are just laughing at FSM in His face.

joking, but seriously, it really is a parody religion

I don't believe in FSM myself, but there are always possibilities. I try not to judge these "parody" religions too harshly.

Actually, IIRC, I think FSM is only semi-parody and more of a "if X is real then so is Y" thing. "Y is just as likely as X"

FSM is real when taken for what it is: a protest of the decision by the Kansas State Board of Education to permit the teaching of intelligent design as an alternative to evolution in public school science classes. The parody served its purpose, pointing out the flaw in the arguments in favour.

No. It's an obvious parody religion intended to satirize real ones.

Pastafarianism was was created in an open letter to the Kansas school board as a parody of Intelligent Design, HorsesGallup. to illustrate the absurdity of allowing ID to be taught as a legitimate alternative to the theory of evolution. The author asked that since the Pastafarian theory of creation was just as logical and legitimate as ID, it should be included in the state's science curriculum alongside then ToE and Creationism.
