It's high school diploma in uk for education that you need if you want to study in universityGcse?
I'm pretty sure GCSEs are compulsory, yes. Even if they weren't, chances of getting a job without GCSEs are diminished greatly, it's in anyone's interests to do them (unless you have immigrated from another country where you already have GCSE-equivalent qualifications, then that's fine too). They are broad and give a decent education in my opinion. Though you get old-timers who pine for the days of O-Levels, which were apparently better, I wouldn't know.Is it a legal requirement to be taught gcse in school?
Not specifically. There are alternative courses and qualifications that are offered by some schools (often private). I’m pretty sure the legal requirements for children to be in recognised education don’t specify any types of qualification and I’m not sure any formal qualification is legally necessary. As if so often the case though, that doesn’t mean only doing enough to meet the bare legal requirements is necessarily advisable. Is it a legal requirement to be taught gcse in school?
