Currently, the New Revised Standard Version (NRSV), Today’s New International Version (TNIV), the Revised English Bible (REB), The New Century Version (NCV), the Contemporary English Version (CEV), and the New Living Translation (NLT) are translations that have gender neutral language. They're all available for feminist, liberal minded individuals more concerned with political correctness than scriptural integrity.

For most people, the newest (2011) version of the popular, respected NIV version is a reasonable balance and compromise between gender neutrality and scriptural integrity, as well as a reasonable balance and compromise between literal translation and dynamic equivalency. To elaborate, the editors took the popular, respected 1984 NIV Bible and removed nearly all of the gender pronouns, resulting in the TNIV version. This version had so many awkward readings, change of meanings, and objections that it was quickly toned down into a new 2011 NIV version that is noticeably more gender neutral than previous editions, but retains traditional pronouns where best applied.

Personally, I still prefer the 1984 NIV as an easy read Bible, but the new NIV 2011 version would better suit those more sensitive to genderism - without moving on to more radical, less accurate versions.

I had thought to endeavor to create one if not, and basically would have applied a very similar method to that which has been already done by others. I would likely have utilized the KJV, and then utilized more modern language, along with gender neutral and gender specific language. I may still effort to do this. It might be something worthwhile, as well as a nice commitment to honor, if I ever choose to.

It would be more to satisfy my own interest, anyway. It isn't off the agenda maybe's, but I'm sure you are correct.

I couldn't pretend to speak for this man, but I can see why this might have been titled as it is ... having no words even, yet an honorable expression of, just the same.
