So why did you program yourself to dislike the foods that you do? Why would you do that?
I didn't say that I did in every case... But you certainly can.
For example, I have managed to program myself not to like mountain dew anymore.
Generally when you eat something that's bad for you, especially something that gives you a sugar high or caffeine high, your body becomes more programmed to accept it, and crave it.
If you reject it, and teach your brain, eventually you will no longer have the cravings.

You're talking about chemical dependency.

You're talking about chemical dependency.
The same applies to everything in life. People have programmed themselves to live like monks, needing very little and being happy with it. Others program themselves to be dependent on chemicals and porn and alcohol.
The brain can be conditioned to accept some pretty extreme beliefs, feelings, and obsessions, and also can be programmed to reject the same.

Again, why did you program yourself to like/dislike certain foods, music, etc? Nobody enjoys or desires anything until after rigorous conditioning? How long did it take for you to program yourself to love your family?

Lots of reasons. It's probably impossible to understand everyone's motivations for their programming.

That's more of a dodge than an actual answer. It seems like you're scraping something together out of desperation because you can't accept that perhaps ancient goat herders may have been wrong about a few things.

How dare you. Some of them were fishermen.

And of course it ignores the fact that attempts to intentionally change people's sexual orientation have been abject failures in the research.
