George Washington University Removes U.S. History Requirement For History Majors

As probably the only person you'll ever meet who actually attended GW (for 1 year), I can tell you that the quality of their professors and courses was abysmal, even twenty years ago. Particularly, for a school which charges Ivy League-level tuition.

As an aside, it appears as though whoever wrote the article wasn't required to "take up" English either.

So what does that say about our current educational system...............
Now I admit that my English composition skills aren't what they should be.....I was a lazy student in high school and actually learned more in the military service about how to express oneself. Especially in writing lesson plans and enlisted evaluations.... before the advent of computer generated grammar and spelling software.
