I'm not sure. Hafthor Bjornsson (guy in the middle) is from Iceland (I assume the other two guys in the right photo are as well as they are his brothers).

Probably just genetic and how our individual genetic cocktail plays out (Schwarzenegger, who looks like a twig compared to guy above).

But my half siblings grandfather was German, a body builder, and looked more like these guys (particularly the one on the lower right).

And given how much of Europe has interbred with each other over the millennia there's probably going to be a lot of overlap as "genetic/tribal/racial/whatever purity" hasn't really been much of a thing to the extent people pushing such ideas would like to believe.

Because Slavic people are a different race to the Germanics and tend to be bigger and stronger.

Those are linguistic and cultural groups, not "races". They are related to each other. Russia was founded by Vikings.

The Dutch are almost identical to Ze Germans and dominate in kickboxing. They don't often fight the Thais as they're naturally heavier than people from Thailand

I'm actually surpised how far down the all-time medal table Germany is. I would have thought they'd be above Turkey and France in weightlifting. Same applies to Poland ranking below Germany

Germans are fit, though, as indeed are the Dutch. It takes a lot to beat them in the VIIIs...though we did manage it in Rio:-
