Getting a pop up that says your phone has a virus on this forum.

Twilight Hue

Twilight, not bright nor dark, good nor bad.
Just wondering if it's me or if others are getting it.

It looks like a panic scam with a countdown download bar warning to fix now.

Just wanted to warn people about it.

I don't use a phone here. But at times I do use a tablet. I have seen those on other sites but not here. I tend to ignore them since they are clearly not from the tablet itself. But yes, they can scare some people and they panic.

I remember getting a call from my housemate one day telling me she just got a phone call that my Apple account had been hacked. I laughed her and told her I had a PC. She still did not understand. Scams are all over the place out there.

As far as i know, to date there have been no viruses for IOS and Android.

So such a popup is likely a scam

However there is malware out in the world that can infect your phone.
