Hmm... What size are you thinking about?

I'd definately suggest a polar bear inspired one, with runes that hold meaning for you around it. Either that or something like the 'owl wings' one that that one woman has (the design lends itself to shapeshifting magic- when she extends her arms, it looks like the wings are spreading). That one would be more if you can find an artist who's willing to work with you, though.

I'm looking for something not too big for my first one. I was, for a while, thinking of a grizzly bear or polar bear inspired one, but I'm not sure.

I love compromise... How about a Moogle hovering over a stag, ridden by Captain Murphy (who happens to have a tattoo of nekkid woman on his bicep) surrounded by Celtic knotwork... and all of them about to be eaten by a bear.

You may want to prepare a rather wide area of skin for that one, though.

I've been thinking on this for some time. I do want a tattoo, but I'm not sure of what yet.

Are you sure you want a tattoo if you don't know what? I've been considering a tattoo myself, but then I realised, if I can't think of anything meaningful on my own, maybe I don't actually want one. Tattoos have to be meaningful for you, and choosing it from others' ideas is not the way to go. It's something that comes from inside yourself, because remeber, when you're old, do want to have a tattoo that never really had any special meaning for you in the first place? Well, that's just my opinion, anyway, that I have come to after years of reflection. But if and when you do decide, I definitely want to know what it is. I just love looking at people's tattoos. they're so cool!

I think you should get the tattoo that I want and my wife wont let me:

I was going to get a sleeve consisting of my heroes such as Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Che Guevara, Bartolome De Las Casas, Manuel E. Uruchurtu, King Christian X, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Vivien Thomas, etc.....obviously you could replace them with your own.

OK, Druidus, if you're not going to go with my excellent idea of a woman who takes her top off whenever you flex your bicepts, then I guess Cernunnos symbolized by the stag would make a fine tattoo, and probably not a tattoo that you would later regret having gotten. I also very much like Maize's idea of a Celtic knot. But of course, first place in my heart of hearts will always be the lady who takes her top off whenever you flex your muscles.

Druidus ~ have a bit of a look thru this site, there are some pretty cool ones there. Maize's idea of doing a google/yahoo image search for a keyword is a good one too - you never know what you could come up with. :bounce
