Getting Rid of Demons

Here are your words:
Moreover, what they thought as heaven then, we now know it is an empty void where no one could breathe.
Yes, that's exactly what I said. I think in my reply I said things awkwardly. Back in the 1st century A.D, it is underatandable that they thought a spiritual heaven was up in the sky. There was no science to tell them differently. However, today science tells us that spiritual heaven is not in the sky.

That's what I should have said.

When Jesus said “I will come again” He was not referring to His physical body coming again. Jesus said that His work was finished here and He was no more in the world: (John 14:19, John 17:4, John 17:11).

Yes. The Second Person of the Trinity accomplished the work given to him by the First Person of the Trinity. What makes you think that this means He won’t come back?

John 17:11And I am no longer in the world, but they are in the world, and I am coming to you. Holy Father, keep them in your name, which you have given me, that they may be one, even as we are one.
I, and many others, no longer live in the country in which we used to live, but many of us will return.
Since Jesus said He was no more in the world and the world would see Him no more we know that when He said "and receive you unto myself" He was not talking about His physical body, but rather He was referring to His spirit.
"We know?) But, as you say (ad infinitum), this is just a story men wrote. It’s not actual history (according to you), so you have no idea about what Jesus actually said.
Therefore...
You are,
In the words of the Bard,
Hoist by your own petard. (Ooooh! A poem ;))

"and receive you unto myself" is obviously about the Spirit of Jesus, not about His physical body, because there would be no way that the disciples Jesus was speaking to could receive the body of Jesus on earth since they were no longer living on earth. Where Jesus was in heaven and that is where the disciples also are, so that is where Jesus received them. That is why Jesus said that He went to prepare a place for them, a place in heaven, not on earth.
If you re-read I think you will find that you have mis-read. Jesus said that He would receive His disciples, not that they would receive Him.
But I must remind you again, Tb, that to you this is ‘just a story’. It is somewhat hypocritical to use a story written by an anonymous author as evidence only when it suits you. And to use the word ‘obviously’ in this context of ‘story’ is irrational.
The spirit of Jesus did come again, in the Person of Baha'u'llah who was the return of Christ that Jesus promised. So when Jesus said “I will come again” He meant that His Spirit would come again because He would send His Spirit from the Father, and we see that in the verses that follow in John 14. Jesus promised not to leave us comfortless and then He said He would send a Comforter.
He did send a Comforter. The Comforter is the Third Person of the Trinity, The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit guided people of the in the Old Testament in many ways, like He does today. BUT, He, the Holy Spirit was promised to come in the future in a new and different way. This was predicted in the Old Testament, and it happened on the day of Pentecost. He comes at Pentecost, and places every believer into the body of Christ and then remains in the believer. Gentiles and Jews are now equals. He is the proof that we belong to God.
Christ did it all, for all, for all time, for every age.

No need for a guy called MrB. He is redundant.

So, Tb, you seem to believe that Jesus did say “I will come again” and you know what He meant? I ask because you have said more than once that we can’t really know who said what in the Bible, or to whom, since it was written so long ago by so many anonymous authors. But now you are telling us what Jesus meant. How can this be?

To summarize, Jesus did not say "my body will come again." The spirit of Jesus did come again, in the Person of Baha'u'llah, and that was what Jesus promised to send. Jesus was a Comforter who brought the Holy Spirit and Baha’u’llah was another Comforter who brought the Holy Spirit.

I learned that there are no such things as demons when I became a Baha'i.

Same when I became Hindu. Hindus do not believe in demons the way Christians do. We have unsavory and evil beings that mostly give the gods a hard time. They try to upset the balance of the universe and garner power for themselves. Rarely have any of these beings afflicted humans. In the end however, the gods kick the demons’ butts and vanquish them. Christians are the only religious group so obsessed with demons and demonic possession. Not to mention their obsession with Satan, whom we do not believe in. Though I can make an exception for this guy. Woof! That’s not evil, that’s mischievous. I wonder what he has in mind.

this is so true
When Jesus spoke in Matthew 24 of the signs of the end times that will mark the season of His return, the sign He mentioned more than any other would be an epidemic of false Christs. In Matthew 24:5 Jesus says, “For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.” Then in verse 11 He repeats it, “and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.” Then in verse 24, He mentions it a third time, “For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect — if that were possible.”

Getting Rid of Demons

I don't get that (Jesus) Yeshua- the Israelite Messiah ever believed in Demons, this must also have been from the Hellenist- Pauline Christianity, please, right?
Second Coming 1835-1908, did not have to cast demons out from his followers or non-followers, as demons never ever existed nor do they exist now, please, right?
