Ghaza in the eyes of a brazilian cartoonist

Sadly, it is not in Islam's interest to end the suffering of the Palestinians. You see, far more mileage can be politically milked from their suffering than there can ever be from a peaceful resolution of these festivities. BTW: The last time I checked, Palestinians were not a race, but rather, an very small ethnic group.

I have often wondered, of late, if Israel simply capitulated and made Palestine a soverign nation without the influence of Israel, would that end the emnity of Muslims towards Jews, Zionists or whatever animal term one wishes to call the fine people of Israel? I doubt it. I am confident that anti-Jewish rhetoric would raise its ugly head in other areas as well.
Rubbish (as usual).

True, that is, but are Muslims, in general, doing anything concrete to help the Palestinians? If they are, I hadn't noticed. Is the only support the Palestinians are getting these amusing little cartoons and of course, people posting on Internet forums on their behalf? I am humbled by the deep caring and Herculean effort, to say the least. Is it possible for Muslims to do less than they are to help the Palestinians?
If Muslims really cared for the Palestinians, the situation wouldn't be the same as now. But I think to hold the weakest faith; feeling the pain of my brothers and sisters in the current time is something, surely this won't help but this is all I have now...until Muslims change themselves I don't have something to offer except feeling their pain, praying and changing myself first.....

you would think that members of the religion of peace would be praying for such peace not, skulking in corners looking at propoganda cartoons of violence or debating how to stop buying american goods. and yes i know this is the islamic area but honestly your need to demonise a nation is extraordinary, perhaps if you spent more time lobbying your arab brothers to send aid to the palestinains instead of arms we might get somewhere . now i shall not return here as it is not a "nice" place

Hmm, where are all the comics about the Palestinians firing rockets at Israelis?
I guess this will have to do.

No Zephyr, you cannot make cartoons about islam because you get a fatwa calling for the artist to be killed. Like the filmmaker in denmark who made a film criticising islam for being violent--and then as if to prove his point a muslim killed him! I would hope more muslims would rise up and decry this kind of violent behavior but there tends to be a lot of silence about that, and alot of sick, twisted cartoons like the ones on this post, instead.

I would just like to know how images of violence are supposed to promote anything like peace?

Theo van Gogh? Nederland mate ;)

But yeah, the responses to that and the Danish cartoons and what I expect will happen due to Finta are ridiculous.
