I'm pretty smart, but not brilliant (mostly because I lack motivation). And I've been told I'm pretty good-looking *shrug* But if I had to choose one or the other, knowledge, most definitely. Brains can be sexy too. Nothing worse than going on a date with someone who has absolutely nothing interesting to talk about.

given a choice i would rather be less handsome and less intelligent its a real bane for me you know, i had to find a woman with super model looks and Mensa registered to boot . i was lucky she had just won miss great Britain when i met her at the Nobel prize presentation. so there was a happy ending.

I am happy the way I am. But if I had to choose just one I would choose looks...
Why?
Because if you look around, the really smart people are often quite depressed ,the geniuses of the world are so often really troubled people. The ones with less brains have less to worry about.
Looks however are (unfortunately) the ones who get ahead in life without brains. Whether we like it or not, ugly people are discriminated against in all walks of life, from childhood, to employment, and of course in getting a partner.
So dumb and gorgeous or ugly and smart (if thats the choice)...The former every time.
The sad thing is I would possibly end up being religious

I took the question to mean that we start from where we are now and get to improve one or the other; I wouldn't be better looking at the cost of being dumber.

I could not possibly exceed the maximum since both of my amplifiers already go to eleven, which is one louder than ten on both fronts. I wouldn't want to alter either of them to go to twelve + I might get a big head, but if it's all for the sake of the stage then count me in.

To be honest if the choice was to be more intelligent, or more attractive, then I would choose more intelligent, as I am happy with my looks. I am happy with my intelligence too, but I guess a couple of points or so more wouldn't hurt
