I took the April '05 and the March '04 issue and used them for kindling. I tried the October '06, but the ad for Calvin Klein cologne made it igite and burn too quickly.

I believe she might mean 'enchantment' spells- especially those that make things seem as it is not, or makes things seem more than they are.

I'm sorry, but I've never really used them, Black Willow.

Hmm, I've done some invisibility but I don't think that what you're referring to

I've mostly heard the term used in relating to 'faerie magic'- for example, a common theme in stories about the fey is that they can disguise themselves as being another being.

A glamour involves changing people's immediate perception of you. It is generally merely altering your physical appearance (eye color, hair length, height, etc.) temporarily. Though sometimes it may also include changing someone's emotional reaction to you.

I know body position will change how people percieve you. Also manipulating your aura has an impact. Personally, I would rather work on manipulating your aura, rather than holding a ritual to change the way others percieve you.

i'd rather not delve into the realms of trying to manipulate the thoughts, feelings and emotions of someone who isn't myself

but there are things you can do, mundane things, to alter your appearance and hopefully the way people percieve you.

Nope, I've never tried them. Not really my forte. I tend to enjoy being perceived as I actually am, rather than changing myself to appear different in the eyes of others.

I don't know anyone who's done them either.

No, I haven't done anything like that. Is it possible..?

Try picking up a copy of Enchantments by Edain McCoy. The book contains little need for history, so I have no problem suggesting it. However, I think you'll find that the book is tailored towards women.
