How would a biological mechanism be an omnipotent personage?
I meant "evolution" the concept, not the theory or practice, and I don't know about "omnipotent" or "personage," but I meant the image of immanent creation from the perspective of Man living in a world of Things. With the recognition that conscious knowledge of the universe lags behind sensory input, the image is made available to us of creation presented to us in a chaotic form from which we, as co-creator, arrange from moment to moment into order and form: past, present, future, spacial dimension, shape, signification, significance, meaning. In that sense, the world has evolved and continues to evolve before our very eyes every moment of every man's existence.
