God as a Mental concept

Does anyone disagree that god makes much more sense as a mental aspect rather than a physical being or force.
There are people who'd like to compare god to love, yet insist that he is like love. Whenever I try to explain that love is just a mental concept and not an actual physical thing, people usually just say "Oh you just don't understand" which I don't disagree with, but I wish they would help me understand by giving me a clear definition of god. it's really quite frustrating

Anyway, does anyone else believe that god makes perfect sense as a conceptual idea and much less sense in the aspects of actually existing?:shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug::confused:

Yes, I strongly agree.

I have recently begun to understand what "God" really is. God is the anthropormorphization of Humanity itself. After many years, religion has finally begun to make sense to me. I've actually come to respect religion in light of this understanding.

yes i agree, God should be looked at as a good idea, in other words, people need to quit taking everything from the bible so literally. The concepts of morals and such, for the individual to carry through there life, are good things to live by, but not necessarily the teachings of actually believing that there is a higher power.

When relating things to the bible, or any literary works of religion, we must always remember that it wasn't a God of any sorts who wrote those, it was just people like you and me
