Since he is a spirit being that doesn't mean physical attributes, it means personality, characteristics. Since man was created first, he had seniority so spirit being are referred to in the masculine in the same sense that a ship is always referred to in the feminine for sailors to honor the strength, grace, and protection of their vessels. So, imagine being a woman and having seniority over a man in a corporation and the man is promoted before the woman. That wouldn't be right or fair.

You think of spirit different than the actual. The actual is all you can have, there is no spirit. If god exists she exists

The actual? Existing in fact; typically, as contrasted with what was intended, expected, or believed; existing now, current? How does that change my perception? I think that our difference of opinion would contradict that the actual is all you can have, if not then beg the question what difference would bear on the subject anyway. If there is no spirit what is god? and why does that constitute that god would definitely exist as a feminine? What if god doesn't exist, would god then be masculine? My contention was that in the actual, god exists as neither male or female and in the linguistic sense (similar to languages such as Latin, Greek, Russian, and German for example) that is the case, whereas for gender god is identified as both - not being bound by social or cultural distinctions.

You see, the fact is that it would be silly of me to argue about whether or not your god is a she only because my God is a he for those reasons and the fact that if your god is a she it isn't a god, it would be a goddess.

In the pagan movement there was an intention to bring the feminine back into religion with the goddess initially as a balance to the god but most of the early descriptions had a slight favoring the goddess. This was followed by a goddess only by many and removed the god as important. I personally think having a god and goddess is much more balanced and we have been unbalanced for so long with monotheism primarily perceived by most as male.

One way to think about it is that God made humans in God's image.
So, the attributes of masculinity and femineity are both divine. They both reflect God's purpose, wisdom and love.

The goddess/god made everything in her/his image. Plants, animals, rocks and clouds. All are of the divine and all are sacred. So that would also include the masculine of the god and the feminine of the goddess to be divine since they both are.
