God's attention?

Well, I have already shared this analogy in another thread named "Experiencing God" but I want to put this in separate thread so that I could know the rough edges of this analogy from different questions, if anybody has.

The question was; What did you do to invoke God's attention?
Analogy..

Mother gave some toys to her child to make him busy. Child started playing with those toys. After some time child got fed up with those toys and started crying :sad4: Again mother gave some new toys. Again child started playing with those new toys, but again after some time child got fed up with those new toys and started crying :sad4: Again mother arranged some new kind of toys for him. Every time mother repeated giving him new toys again and again whenever he got fed-up with old toys.

Finally, child got tired, felt sleepy, and started crying :sad4: Again mother gave him some new toys. But this time child didn't stopped crying because this time he don't want any toys he just want to sleep by sticking to the breast of his mother.

Now, this time Mother have to come in front of her child to pick him up because now very well she knows that none other thing can make my child stop crying.

Similarly, when one is tired of this world, felt sleepy, and starts crying, that time God have to come in front of his child to pick him up because now very well Father knows that none other thing can make my child stop crying.

I dunno. I used to pick up my daughter and stop her crying. Does that make me God, or does God have to be a girl?

I don't think this question of yours is related to the analogy so that I could answer you, my friend.
Perhaps you didn't understood the analogy, I think
:)

I just found it kinda a stretch. When I/my wife picked up my daughter, she stopped crying because she knew we'd care for her. Or she'd keep crying because she was still hungry, etc. But mostly she'd stop.

Waiting for God to stop her crying wasn't really viable, since it was never going to happen. In a sense, I'd see that as completely analogous, but I suspect we'd fundamentally disagree on that.

I see it as a rough analogy of the prodigal son.
On his journey back home he was met half way.
I am counting on it.

Am not talking about your Daughter crying.

The "Cry" for which am talking about is something else. It is related to asceticism/stoicism. I have already tried my level best explaining this "Cry" in OP, My friend.

God's attention is invoked when one fulfills the purpose of one's creation. According to Holy Quran, it is to pay rights of God and to pay rights of His creation. All Prophets came with this message with different details according to the need of hour.

The-Journey begins to seek God, through true faith and related aspects, good deeds and avoiding wrongs. Every moment of practicing believers takes them closer to God. Each worship each prostration enable them to meet God.

They ponder the making of universe, their inner eyes seek God behind the wise making:

[3:191] In the creation of the heavens and the earth and in the alternation of the night and the day there are indeed Signs for men of understanding;
]3:192]
Those who remember Allah while standing, sitting, and lying on their sides, and ponder over the creation of the heavens and the earth: “Our Lord, Thou hast not created this in vain; nay, Holy art Thou; save us, then, from the punishment of the Fire.

The true believer are not made to wait for latter moments, they get satisfaction:
[13:29] ‘Those who believe, and whose hearts find comfort in the remembrance of Allah. Aye! it is in the remembrance of Allah that hearts can find comfort;

BEAUTY AND BENEVOLENCE OF GOD IS INTRODUCED FROM BEGINNING, NOT AT A LATTER TIME
According to Holy Quran:

a) God introduces His Beauty and Benevolence (spiritually) right from the beginning as the Book opens,

b) And God also ask the seeker to appreciate this beauty and benevolence too and tells the dangers if it is not heard:

a)
[1:1] In the name of Allah, the Gracious, the Merciful.
[1:2] All praise belongs to Allah, Lord of all the worlds,
[1:3] The Gracious, the Merciful,
[1:4] Master of the Day of Judgment.

b)
[1:5] Thee alone do we worship and Thee alone do we implore for help.
[1:6] Guide us in the right path —
[1:7] The path of those on whom Thou hast bestowed Thy blessings, those who have not incurred Thy displeasure, and those who have not gone astray.

MEETING GOD

God wants we should have desire in our hearts to meet Him. It is spiritual subject. In this world meeting is spiritual, in the next world, it will be with full manifestation. Preparation starts from this world.

[[18:111] Say, ‘I am only a man like yourselves; but I have received the revelation that your God is only One God. So let him who hopes to meet his Lord do good deeds, and let him join no one in the worship of his Lord.’

[10:8] Those who look not for the meeting with Us and are content with the life of this world and feel at rest therewith, and those who are heedless of Our Signs —
[10:9] It is these whose abode in Fire, because of what they earned.
[10:10] But as for those who believe, and do good works — their Lord will guide them because of their faith. Rivers shall flow beneath them in the Gardens of Bliss.
[10:11] Their prayer therein shall be, ‘Glory be to Thee, O Allah!’ and their greeting therein shall be, ‘Peace.’ And the conclusion of their prayer shall be, ‘All praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds.’

MEETING GOD NEED TOIL

[84:7] Thou, O man, art verily labouring towards thy Lord, a hard labouring; then thou art going to meet Him.

MEETING IN HEREAFTER

[75:23] Some faces on that day will be bright,
[75:24] Looking eagerly towards their Lord;

Hence it is the Journey where God is the focus right from the beginning. God shows and brings Himself right from the beginning; how much we perceive Him, it depends on state of our spiritual evolution which continues to grow.

Call, say, think of, or mention his name, and he will come no matter what he is doing or where he is. Just thinking about him in describing this, I feel his presence. :)

God's attention is always on us, so the real question is: "How do we notice and pay attention to the Divine?" Could it be when we co-create with the Divine?
