God's attention?

God's attention is always on us, so the real question is: "How do we notice and pay attention to the Divine?"

Of course, mother's attention is always on her playing child. But she never comes and pick him up until he is.. tired of playing, starts crying, and ready to quit-playing. But if her child is just tired of old-toys, in that case she just provide him some new toys to play, rather than picking him up.

Thus, there's no any real question according to this analogy because one cannot bring tiredness/asceticism/stoicism of its own, it comes/appears naturally, or in other words.. it happens according to the will of God. Man is just helpless of doing anything.

If one is thinking of trick >>> "How do we notice and pay attention to the Divine?"<<< Its no more than a new-toy/game provided by God just to make one busy in this game.

Could it be when we co-create with the Divine?

If by this you mean.. "Social-Service" ?
I respect the people who do social-services, its is very good thing. But I don't know why some (not-all) people forget that the God who can create this so big universe, mountains, trees etc.. is helpless of doing such small services of its own.

Call, say, think of, or mention his name, and he will come no matter what he is doing or where he is. Just thinking about him in describing this, I feel his presence. :)
Call, say, think of, or mention his name, it is all equal to tiredness from this world, indeed. Of course he will come no matter what he is doing or where he is. Whereas, feeling his presence is just like a child who very well knows that he is safe while playing in the custody of his mother.

There's very big difference between.. Feeling safe in the custody of mother, and calling mother because you are tired of playing a lot and want to sleep now.

Prayer for.. What ?
Money ? Good-health ? Maintenance ?
or some other worldly-things/toys ?

Don't worry
:)
No.Prayer is not for asking of material things.Prayer is to communicate with God.To ask for spiritual help,to make petitions.

Prayer to God in the Judeo-Christian sense seems utterly pointless to me. God is said to have an already pre-determined will that is unchanging. Yet people go to him asking for this and that, when in reality, it would be pointless, because God already had his mind made up from the start.

Whoever said God's will is unchanging? God changed God's mind in the bible all the time, when somebody asked.

I suppose if that is the case, then it is understandable. The branch of Christianity I was personally raised in was very Calvinistic in its beliefs, and so God's will was seen as something that was set in stone and that cannot be altered in any way.

Still, though, I wonder how people believe that God's will can "change" if he is considered omnipotent. Wouldn't he know beforehand that something would cause him to "change his mind," so it wasn't really a "mind change" to begin with?
