God's Theory

To put it simply........... What if every religion in the world was right......... But wrong at the same time..... Picture this if you will..........!

Imagine a world, before human beings, in which every god believed actually existed. They all had a hand in the creation ofthe universe, and they all created the human race. Now imagine that being our creators they became concieted in themselves and wanted all the credit in the creation for themselves. from there a power stuggle insues and some gods break off to do thier own things and some stay together. As gods they gain thier power through the beliefs of the people. some having more power and control because of their influence on the human race. some having little to no followers start falling out of existance. This is merely a theory as of now and i will attempt to devolop it more as i go. i just wanted any input on what little i have so far.

Humans would end up controlling the destiny of the gods. "I'm willing to believe in you, but this other god offered me a really cool Heaven. If you can't beat that, no belief for you!" ;)

Humans dont control the destiny of the gods... The god control their own by their influence on the human race.. the one with the most influence has the most power...

You said the gods "gain their power through the beliefs of the people." I interpret that to mean that if people don't believe, then the gods don't have power to influence the human race, which puts humans as the arbiters of power. Gods may exercise the power, but humans determine through belief who gets it.

Unless I'm misreading, which is always a possibility.

Yes it is the humans who have the free will to chose their own beliefs but the gods have the power to influence their every day lives in order to sway thier beliefs. I guess the best way to descirbe it is that every human has a price... they all have a limit to what it takes to get them to believe. it all depends on what that particular god is willing to do to earn their belief. Therefore it is the gods who control their destiny by how hard they are willing to work for their believers.
