See, personally I think kittens are better proof of god.

But that's just me ^_^

I think the my boxer/dane was one of the cutest puppies ever. If I had my camera on me I would upload a picture.
Retrievers are cute, but short hair dogs are much easier to live with. :)

Until you have held a baby bunny that is only 3 inches long, you have no idea what the cutest thing in the universe is.

Yes but the same thing could be said for feral dogs and cats.

I doubt that this is true. There are feral cats on the farm that are just fine - not sure about dogs, because almost all dogs have been a pet at one time and can at least possibly be redeemed.

Besides, I'm sure that the number of feral rats in human dwellings is exponentially greater than the number of feral cats and dogs that one would encounter.

But hey, my dad's pets are Madagascar cockroaches, and he's had the same batch for 20 years. Dumb as nails though.

Just out of curiosity -

1) Did you purchase your rat from a pet store, or from a person who otherwise bred it to be a pet?

2) Have you been able to house train it - does it do its natural business in a designated place?

3) Does it respond to its name?

4) Any tricks?

My point was that sure rats, just like cats and dogs can be both feral and domesticated.

It is just as ridiculous to compare the behaviours of a feral and domesticated rats as it is to compare the behaviours of feral and domesticated cats and dogs.

Numbers are irrelevant when talking personalities.
