...they're confusing my daughter. I tried to explain to her the other day that the colouring of various dinosaurs is commonly no more than a best guess (since she was telling me that Stegosaurus' came in about 28 different colours based on a whole lot of books she'd found, including one where he was bright purple and was friends with a T-Rex).
She agreed, and told me the purple one was clearly just for kids, then proceeded to fish out some very realistic drawings and tell me that was the REAL colour of a stegosaurus, since they were photographs.
'Errr...they're just really good drawings, kiddo...'
'Nope. Photographs. You can tell because they look really real.'
'So...err...they're drawings. With pencils...'
She proceeded to dump a packet of pencils and a piece of paper in front of me.
'Show me, then.'
