Good News!

I'm just waking up, and feeling this day could go either way...

So, I wanna push the scales the 'good' way. I wouldn't mind having a decent day today...

Tell me some good stuff. What's going on in the world right now that's good? I don't care where, and I don't care how small.
Charlotte is going to New York for her 40th birthday next month and is excited about the trip. She was asking what people eat at Thanksgiving.

After out Friday morning Koyil visit, we went for annual flu shots. Without me saying anything, this was the fifth shot in a row where the jabber aimed it at the center of the circle in my tattoo. Ever since I got the tattoo, every single jab has been in that exact spot. Pretty soon there ill be a permanent hole there, and they can just pour the vaccine in.

Im jealous. We voted to gave our politicians here in California stop that lunacy, but four years later it hasn't happened and some people are still convened by fairy tales.

I'll be starting my phlebotomy externship in just over a week.
But I've been doing a lot of thinking and realized it really is better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven. So I'm drawing up plans to stay jump back into Hell, stay there, and live happily with no boss, no stupid rules, and no giving my potential to some unappreciative arseling.

It's Moonbear's birthday!

Happy birthday, Moonbear!

I am so jealous! Is there any room for newbies in the neighborhood?

Every year, there's a bit stink made about it here, and every year, it fades into background...

For me - having a dental emergency and seeing my dentist a few hours later to sort it out. :D

I hope fixing it goes easy for you!

That is good news. I can manage a 7 minute walk per day.

We looked at a local gym today. It seems alright, but I wonder if I'll manage to prod myself to actually go. Winter's especially difficult to prod myself into action, as its dark, freezing, and I have way too many hats/coats/mittens/scarfs to contend with.

What's the tattoo of? That sounds convenient.

Sure. Our little part of Mexico is filling up, and we have traffic now, but there's a place for you and your family. I don't know much about raising kids here, but other younger American couples are doing it. I just don't travel in their circles.

You're from Indiana, right? You might have had no DST before coming to CA.

If you don't mind saying, where are you in California? I have lived over much of Southern California including LA, the San Fernando Valley (Van Nuys), Long Beach, Riverside, Canyon Lake (near Lake Elsinore), and Poway. Did you follow the Dodgers-Padres playoff games?

I'll be starting my phlebotomy externship in just over a week.

Good luck there.

I've found that winter is most bearable if I take
regular walks in it. Ya get properly dressed in
clothing that works well, ya go out in it, ya get
move'n, & ya find that it's actually pretty nice.
No over-heating. No bugs. No stinky sweat'n.
And it can be mighty purty.

I figure they're raise-able just about anywhere.

If it was just myself, it wouldn't be so bad. But with multiple sets of outerwear to contend with, I'm pooped by the time everyone's bundled up. A real workout!

That ended years ago with Pence's predecessor, Mitch Daniels (I tend to replace the M with a B). That arseling didn't even let the People vote on it (it never would have happened if that were the case). It just happened despite being everything a out it being disliked at best (including the time zones he went with that makes it dark obscenely late during Spring to Autumn).
It's stupid, I hate it, if it were a human I'd impale it like Vlad the Impaler.

Be your own guru
I have abandoned Google in favor of Duckduckgo.
Daughter-in-law got some money as government decided that teachers be given some salary arrears, and left yesterday for a week's holiday in Turkey, leaving us oldies to manage the house (son and grandson).
Son going soon to Switzerland for a music program (something that I want him to stop because 1. He is not a very good singer. 2. Has a portfolio only of old songs. 3. There are hundreds of men and women, boys and girls, who sing better than him). But whatever, it gets him a holiday in Switzerland.

Three of my teeth require repair. But no problem as I have a dentist son-in-law. However, afraid of pain when he fills them up.

We do not have this annual ritual of flu shots, not even for the children. We do get cold nose (I am particularly susceptible to it), generally no fever, and it passes away.
Need to do something about that, but never get started. I hate the little paunch that I have developed in the last five years. One of the reasons is diminished production of testosterone. The ink gets exhausted. I am not in favor of supplements. Let nature take its own course. :(
Could it be that you do too much for others?
She has to, though adults should take care of themselves.
