grace is unfair?

Me Myself

grace is as "unfair" as any form of predetermination.

The book of life has the names of those worthy and God already knows who will go where when.

The way I concile this is with reincarnation, that I believe Jesus believed in, giving that he said John the baptist was Eliah.

We all have had good and bad lives, lifes with grace and lifes without.

Jesus describes a farmer going to the day laborer site at 8AM. He hires men for 1 sheckel (a full days wages) Every couple of hours, he comes back and hires more men. Even late in the day, He hires some. Then at the end of the day, He pays them, starting with the last hired first. He pays them a sheckel. The ones hired first thought they would get paid more, since they had worked more. When they didn't, they complained as being treated unfairly. Jesus tole them that they had gotten paid what they had contracted for. He compares this to Heaven where you get the same thing whether you were saved as a child or in old age. (not that you earn salvation)

If humans are inheritantly sinfull then maybe grace makes life fair.

Grace will open you more to God and serves as a channel of blessing so I don't see why it's unfair. Jesus said that one cannot be His follower if he or she will not carry his or her own cross. Truly no one is perfect and all have sinned but that should not block us in aspiring ti become better person in Christ, through His grace.

This is a Christian Dir. Christians don't believe in reincarnation. Please, don't mix it with other beliefs. We're supposedly talking about what a Christian believes in this case..

There are Jews who believe in reincarnation, so as an extension of Judaism, why wouldn't there be speak of this in Christianity? IMO, it's fine to talk about it in the Christian DIR. Just because it's not orthodox, doesn't mean it's wrong. This is one reason I have a very hard time participating in the Christian DIR :(

So I think the premis is false. If christianity is true and we are doomed to fail the grace makes life fair.
