Grace will flow like a river
It is impossible to hate those for whom you pray.
So pray for your "enemies";

Not true.have you notice the catechism is a thing of the past?
I have no ability on my own to pray for my enemies, it is a grace. Grace is freely given to all, it is God's love, his desire to heal all, we each have the freedom to choose.well....not wanting to spoil the moment.....but....
grace means to....allow
walk with grace?.....among the angels
would that be your ability?......or their allowance?
I guess you ca pray for the devil, but nothing would happen, since the devil is totally dedicated to his rebellion and hatred of God. It was a choice taken in total freedom.if I pray for the devil?
then what?
No it i not my friendI went to catholic schools.....strict disciplines
made bid for position at a seminary
but only two positions available
and twelve people showed up
apparently there are at least two .... more holy than I
but no hard feelings
I continued reading scripture
and I dropped the dogma
so did the chruch
have you notice the catechism is a thing of the past?
Thank you my friend, still a struggle.Simple but all so sweet!
We are to love God, ourselves, and others......so you are right.I think I would have to pray for myself first that I may forgive my enemy in order to pray for my enemy from the heart. But yes, holding a grudge weighs one down, we are lifted in God's grace.
it was dropped as requirement when I was in 6th gradeInteresting, and how do you come to that conclusion?
btw....post 5Not true.
BTW, this is a Catholic DIR.
having the freedom to choose was dealt on Day SixI have no ability on my own to pray for my enemies, it is a grace. Grace is freely given to all, it is God's love, his desire to heal all, we each have the freedom to choose.
Peace

and I still wear a ring....of my own makingNot true.

We choose to be in relationship with God or others. From that the give and take is grace, based on trust, which is not easy.having the freedom to choose was dealt on Day Six
that was not a guarantee it would be well used
