Great sign

Pithy & cute.
I'd never put one up though.
- Such a provocative statement would be an awful thing for a prosecutor to trot out were one ever on trial for using a gun in self defense.
- It would be quickly vandalized where I live. (We're a bunch'o salivating pinko commie lefties here.)

You wish. I want to raise taxes to pay for gay adoption, and I'm a Conservative MP!

Sign is only relevant if you are paranoid enough to believe the government is coming to take them, which they aren't.
....yet.
Two sides vie for power, & the balance we currently see is the result.
There is no guarantee that it won't shift in the direction of confiscation.
So we persevere in preserving our rights.
This isn't paranoia...it's diligence.

Slippery slope fallacy strikes again. "We should all buy all the weapons because of the distant possibility that a nazi-regime might overtake the government and take my guns." It won't happen, period. The logistics of it alone would make impossible not to mention unconstitutional. A lot of things would have to go perfectly wrong for this to happen.

Tell you what, if there ever comes a time when legislation passes that bans all firearms you can be the first to say "I told you so".

Yes, it's good people can speak but it's stupid that people are so worried about the boogeyman coming to take your guns.

As you mentioned, it wouldn't look good should a person with such a sign be in court for a self-defense case in which a gun was used, which is another reason such a sign is stupid. There is a difference between being a strong supporter of the 2nd and making such a bold statement of willingness (possibly eagerness) to use it.
