Kim Jong-un
“If the American imperialists provoke us a bit, we will not hesitate to slap them with a pre-emptive nuclear strike. The United States must choose! It’s up to you whether the nation called the United States exists on this planet or not.”

Donald Trump
"North Korea best not make any more threats to the United States. They will be met with fire and fury like the world has never seen."

The notion that North Korea is the biggest threat to the world is ridiculous.
Not "biggest" but "greater."

(RF mechanics doesn't allow me to change my typo "greatest," to "greater" in the poll box. If some mod has the ability to do this it will be appreciated.)

Voted Trump because he is the bigger unknown in all this. North Korea are very provocative and "ideally" would just come to the negotiating table. there is at least some consistency in what they do in wanting to make sure they have a position strong enough to ensure their own independence from allies and enemies alike. they'll probably just ask for more food aid or something stupid like that. they've got the big toy gun now and are just showing off to try and look impressive. a new balance of power would emerge as a result and we probably won't like it, but there will still be peace of some kind.

Trump... well, I don't know. we'll see in a week or so won't we.

Unsurprisingly, I think that the government of North Korea is only a threat to the region and not a big one. The government of the USA is a threat in many possible theaters. Korean peninsula, as well as the middle east. And let's not forget that one of Trump's campaign promises was to make Mexico pay for Trump's Wall. They don't seem willing to cooperate peaceably, so maybe a war with Mexico is in our future. Maybe because they keep forcing US to buy drugs?
With Trump's attitude, who knows?

Easily Trump.
Him being the president of such an advanced world power makes it so that he has to be taken seriously, even if nobody wants to.
His personality mixed with his position... There are quite a few things to worry about.

Un and the NK military are pretty much a joke.
The only worrisome part about North Korea is the mindset of it's civilians.

They can obliterate South Korea's economy and a kill a lot of people. That's actually their biggest threat.

In the early 50s the US dropped more bombs on NK than they dropped in the entire pacific theatre during ww2, thus the US has made NK what it is today.

Unfortunately both NK and US are lead by megalomaniacs, one who is told he is a god and one who wants to be a god. neither will bottle out. Hopefully China will keep both on a short lead.

You mean, sorta like the USA did, during the Bush administration, to Syria by creating Daesh and arming the rebels?
No wait, that's not what you meant. Is it?

The DPRK has a lot of conventional artillery hidden in the hills over the border. If they started firing those guns, they can reach Seoul easily and wreak havoc.

That was my answer to the assertion that the DPRK was not much of a regional threat.

Trump is just an idiot, and Kim hasn't got anybody to tell him the truth -- that he's not as "powerful" as he thinks he is. That latter for the simple reason that anybody who tells him what he doesn't want to hear is summarily executed -- sometimes with anti-aircraft guns. His "advisors" spend a lot of time trying to discern how he'd like to be advised, and advise accordingly.

Trump, on the other hand, has so many potentially good advisors at his disposal -- most of whom are willing to tell and defend the truth as they see it -- that the fact that he deems himself so superior to any of them in how to respond to even the most intractable problems, and added to that the undisputed might of the US military, makes him far more dangerous, in my view.

I find it interesting that you say 'there will still be peace of some kind' because according to 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3 the time is coming when ' they '(powers that be) will be saying, " Peace and Security " but that will only be the precursor to the coming great tribulation of Revelation 7:14.

The United Nations already sees a hauntingly dangerous religious climate brewing, and with backing the U.N. can be strengthened to 'emerge as a new balance of power' and prove to be God's arm of the law against those who want to bring ruin or destruction according to Revelation 11:18 B.

Revelations certainly feels appropriate. Although I don't think the seventh seal has been broken yet. :D
