Matthew 22:36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'[b] 38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'[c] 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."
Frubals....if Jesus says this is the greatest commandment, who am I to argue. I love this verse. One of my favorites.

I got a kick out of The Black Bible's "Thou shalt commit adultry."

The two philosiphies I live by are to try to understand everything, and do unto others as the've done to you.

When I looked this passage up, it says --

"Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people: neither shalt thou stand against the blood of thy neighbour; I am the LORD." KJV

"Do not go about spreading slander among your people."
"Do not do anything that endangers your neighbor's life. I am the LORD." NIV

Are you infering this to mean, "not to stand by while another is in danger"?
Or is there a version of (Lev. 19:16) that comes closer to your meaning? If so, could you provide a link? Thanks.
Thou shalt not go up and down as a talebearer among thy people; neither shalt thou stand idly by the blood of thy neighbour: I am HaShem.
http://www.breslov.com/bible/Leviticus19.htm#16commentary that goes with this verse....
[I.e., do not stand by,] watching your fellow’s death, when you are able to save him; for example, if he is drowning in the river or if a wild beast or robbers come upon him. — [Torath Kohanim 19:41; Sanh. 73a]
