So i recently logged onto a forum which was supposed to be for religious discussions and debates. I posted a thread introducing myself, and I posted another thread outlining, in brief, some of my views on my journey through my belief structures. Well I woke up today and I was banned indefinitely without a reason...still waiting on that answer.

Anyway, I'm here because I refuse to give up on being able to discuss/debate my views, and those of others, in an environment open to listening and providing feedback in a non-hostile way. I don't ever intend to attack anyone, I simply like to share my views and wish the same of everyone else.

That being said, I'm sure you'll see me in and out around here. I have a theistic outlook on life although I am decidedly not Christian anymore and instead choose to follow a path of seeking the truth. So we'll see where that leads, and hopefully I can enjoy some good discussions in here along the way.

Hi @DonnieLD and welcome! I know of at least one other forum that bans a person right away if the poster seems like someone else that was removed.

This place is not like any other forum that I have been on. Follow the rules and you will be just fine. :)

Can you give us a link? I join all the forums I come across, it's a pretty good way to meet new people. Anyway, welcome to Religious Forums! On a side note, your '--D' signature looks pretty........ phallic. So that'll get some laughs.:p

I'm very glad to hear that, it was a blow to me because I have no clue why and I almost stayed away from trying another forum, but decided I shouldn't let them get me down.

As a Christian, are you saying I'm not seeking the truth?

Ken,
So long as you are following what the Christian faith teaches I'm sure that you are seeking the truth. I simply have gotten tired of far too many "Christians" who talk about life in one hand and live it out of another. I'm not even saying that Christianity has it wrong, I personally believe that we can find even more truth by seeking what God has intertwined in other religions as well as through the fabric of the universe he created for us to dwell in.

Hope that clarifies my statement a bit.

Well the last forum was religionforums.org and was your standard forum I thought and then I was blocked, so they have an e-mail question and they won't ever see me again other than that.

As for my signature, lol, yeah it wouldn't surprise me. I have a few I use but most times when I'm writing e-mails or quick messages I use initials for whichever name I am using, since I have several which different sets of friends and fmaily have bestowed upon me over the years :)

This place has lots of friendly jerks people. I don't mean they are jerks, but I am as certain as the rain that some people think that. At this place when someone decides another poster is a jerk, he just uses the ignore feature and I disappear.

Lol, well I'm glad that this place is a good place. Honestly I don't mind jerks so long as they're friendly. One of my beliefs is that we are entitled our opinions and no matter what I think about yours, I won't be mean, even if I pester you about some things. I also expect the same in return, I might get a little defensive at times but so long as people aren't mean just to be mean or aren't attacking others, I usually let it roll.

Just know that three infractions get a person removed for a time. I haven't had one for awhile, but I have had two once. I don't think that will happen to you, but if it does, just don't post for awhile. Be proactive. Or, preactive.

I'll never forget that poster who accused me (and NOBODY came to my defense) of trolling around the forum. I don't do that and I never have. I don't post on any thread that I do not care about. And, I don't care about much.

Thanks for the advice! I shouldn't have a problem, but then again it wouldn't surprise me if people take some of my views wrong no matter how they're intended.

It's not your views that you have to worry about here. Anything goes. It's your delivery that you have to watch. Which is really great because that makes this a learning place. I love it!

@DonnieLD does LD stand for learning disabled? Yes? What kind? I have many learning disabilities. But, I can't say for sure what they are because I do not trust the establishment to tell me what I am and what I have.

Lol, it could stand for that...in reality it stands for my call sign an instructor bestowed upon me and stuck. :p
