Guilty Pleasures

What's yours?

Today mine is listening to Andy Gibb greatest hits as loud as I can and singing along. My kids are complaining about how loud it is (and my singing). "Turn it down it mom!"

Mine would be the same as yours, Maize, except that it'd be singing along with Freddie Mercury from Queen.

And, since a few days ago, "Sean of the Dead."

Oh, no! "Lost" is a guilty pleasure?

(And I bet, as a peanut- butter fan, you enjoyed Charlie's helping Claire get over her cravings for said taste treat?)

Chinese food. Everyday. I could eat chinese food for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Can't get enough of it. But I will only order Bonesless Spare Ribs Combination.
I can never order anything else but that.

80 fsw. That's right... I LOVE diving down to that depth or a tad deeper. The narcosis eliminates ALL of the pains in my body (like my poor, poor gimpy rt shoulder and both hands), and the lack of gravity makes me feel FREE!

:p I've done both within the last week and a half. Was listening (and singing loudly to) Andy Gibb last week, and this week Queen have been in the cd player. Yesterday I was belting out 'Gimme The Prize' (and doing my best Kurgan impression, still being in Highlander mode ), from A Kind of Magic. I've had Queen's Greatest Hits 1 & 2 in the cd player a bit this week too. I was looking up lyrics to Queen songs that I wasn't quite sure on, and found a quote on a message board that read: Elvis is King, Freddy Mercury is Queen, and Eric Clapton is God. :jam: One of my guilty pleasures: cranking up the music and singing in the shower.

Sleeping...or Dr. Pepper.

Galloping across open fields on my horse is a guilty pleasure too. If my trainer ever caught me, she'd skin me like a cat, but Paddy and I both love it. :)

Bastet, your post made me think of something.

Is Methos a guilty pleasure?
I'll admit, I had to go and Google 'Methos' to find out who it was. I'm guessing he'd be a guilty pleasure for some. ;) Considering I only watched Endgame a week and a half ago, I should have known...oops lol. I've never seen the Highlander tv series, in case that isn't now patently obvious. :p

Oooops, I keep forgetting there are many people who've only seen either the TV show or the movie series. I grew up with the movie series, then turned to the show later in life. Methos is the oldest immortal in the series at about 5000 years old. Pretty much everyone in the "Highlander" verse thinks that he's a myth, especially the Watchers who study the immortals. Lately, he's managed to stay in hiding by becoming a Watcher, under the guise of the mortal Adam Pierson. One thing I love about him is that the job he undertook as a Watcher was to do research on that mythical immortal Methos.

I also love his interesting combination of catlike arrogance and self- depreciating humor. (He frequently wanders into Duncan MacCloud's flat and pirates his stuff.) Oddly enough for being so old, he seems to take life much less seriously than so many others in the "Highlander" verse, so he usually winds up with the best lines. (While searching through MacCloud's CD collection, full of classical composers, he whines "Why don't you have any Queen?")

He also possesses one of the most interesting noses yet seen among mankind.

Back on topic, is having a fascination with interesting noses a guilty pleasure?
