Dumb tactic I learned as a kid. Start fishing by walking around the lake, if you don't see any small fish by the rocks near the shore there are no big fish either because they eat those. Generally, the little fish are toward the shore rocks, and the bigger fish are further out from that point. If you don't see any little ones then they are all in-lake and you aren't getting them without a boat and a sonar.

Well, there's a bit more to it than just religion. The British basically stole the land, crowded out the native Irish people through intentional colonization of the land and oppressed the Irish and their culture. The religious veneer is just a mask, or at least a small part, of the reason why the conflict exists.

Sub automatic weapons aren't that necessary. Mostly because the person will end up shooting innocent victims while taking down criminals. A simple gun will suffice and scares away most criminals anyway


They knew full well weapons would advance over time. Doesn't make sense to call them "assault" weapons. Every weapon is an assault weapon. You know how expensive a gun is? Most people aren't likely to own an automatic weapon anyway due to the cost.

But the founding fathers wanted us to have weapons to defend ourselves. It was never to hunt or go to a shooting range, it was specifically for preventing your own government from oppressing you.

And that is specifically what one of these guns can never succeed in doing. Can you use one of these guns as an expensive toy? Sure. Can one of these guns make you feel more manly? Maybe. Can one of these guns be used to slaughter dozens of innocent people? You bet.

But can one of these guns stop he federal government from doing what it wants to do? Not a chance.

Numbers can be misleading here without all the context.

Poverty is a huge correlation to crime rate. We know folks in poor neighborhoods are more likely to commit crimes.

What is the medium income for blacks? When normalized to say hispanics or whites and similar income, does the ratio of race, income and crime rate remain the same for blacks, hispanics and whites? Or does it clearly show that blacks still have more of that ratio?

I follow where all the numbers lead, so it's not just trying to assume a fair or equality stance. I'm just saying we're probably missing some other factors that also correlate with crimes.

You are correct. That 13% number accounts for all blacks in the US. In reality the percentage that is doing all that killing is much lower, as children and most women don't commit murder. Therefore, the actual percentage of blacks that are responsible for over half the murders in the US each year is closer to 5%. That figure accounts for teenage males up through the age of 50.

While I agree with you and I do advocate for gun ownership, the concept of preventing the government from oppressing the people is outdated. Your privately owned AR-15 variant doesn't stand a chance against:
