Guy Movies

With that said, "guy movies" have one objective: to entertain. If they teach a lesson, they are thrown out. They are good for what they are, mindless entertainment, and they have their place.
I think the best "guy movies" were definitely more than mindless entertainment. For example:

- The Great Escape
- The Magnificent Seven
- The Big Lebowski
- Unforgiven
- The Usual Suspects

BTW, here's a handy guide to the difference between a "Guy movie" and a "Chick flick."

In a Chick flick, one person is dying, and everybody cries about it.

In a Guy movie, almost everyone dies, and nobody cries about it.

To add to Brendan's guide:

In a Guy Movie, kung-fu and explosions are plentiful.

In a Chick Movie, feelings and tissues are plentiful.

Jeez. Some of you like your meat real raw. Rambo? Oh...

What is it with people who don't like the Matix sequels? I don't think you appreciate the philosophy behind the movie. Not that that's a bad thing, of course; it's just not your bag. Or maybe there's another reason why you don't like them. Whatever. The Matrix trilogy is amazing and that's kind of a fact.
There weren't any Matrix sequels. :areyoucra Na na na na na na no Matrix sequels :ignore: just The Matrix, which was perfect in every way (although Trinity could have been way hotter)

Shoot 'em up was awesome! :D

Some favourite guy films of mine include (The Matrix goes without saying):-
Gladiator
Sin City
Layer Cake
Master & Commander
Equilibrium

Magic Man

Reaper of Conversation

(except for the Trinity thing. She could have been hotter, but Carrie Ann Moss is attractive in an intelligent way. Jessica Alba and others, while being hotter, wouldn't bring the other necessary qualities to the character, in my opinion.)

This is turning into such a "guy" discussion, too, surrounding who could have been the better "babe-of-the-month" in any particular movie. :p

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Fight Club. :thud:

Or how about Enter the Dragon?
