Hadith (Sayings of the Prophet pbuh)

[Cordoba]

Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said:

[FONT=Geneva, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]“Whoever forgets while he is fasting and eats or drinks, then let him complete his fast because, indeed, Allah has fed him and gave him drink.”[/FONT]

"Seek the Night of Power in the last ten nights of Ramadan."

Your youth before you grow old,

your health before you grow ill,

your wealth before you become poor,

your free time before you become too busy,

and your life before the arrival of your death.”

“I start the prayer intending to prolong it, but on hearing the cries of a child I shorten my prayer because of the intense sadness that I know his sadness causes his mother.”

“Those abiding by Allah’s Laws in comparison to those who violate them are like people who drew lots for their seats on a ship. Some of them got seats on the upper deck and some on the lower.[/FONT]

When the ones below needed water, they had to go to the upper deck to get it (which troubled those on the upper deck), so they said, ‘Let us make a hole in our part of the ship to get water and save those above us from trouble.’[/FONT]

If the people on the upper deck allow them to do what they have suggested, everyone on the ship will drown; but if they prevent them, all the people will be safe.”

“Fear Allah wherever you may be; follow up an evil deed with a good one which will wipe (the former) out, and behave good-naturedly towards people.”

"Do you know what is better than charity and fasting and prayer?

It is keeping peace and good relations between people, as quarrels and bad feelings destroy mankind."

"A man saw a dog eating mud from (the severity of) thirst. So, that man took a shoe (and filled it) with water and kept on pouring the water for the dog till it quenched its thirst.

So Allah approved of his deed and made him to enter paradise."
