This is something a lot of people in my life don't know, but I was bullied and raped by another male. This bully just about destroyed my whole life - he was my brother's best friend.

The body-mind existence is inevitably painful, in one way or another, for everyone. I understand that there is pain great pain. I empathise.
But while you exist in deep sleep you sense no pain. So, what is so special about waking state that all pains seem to come on as soon as you wake up? We may earnestly enquire into this.

When you say "wake up", do you mean awaken from sleep, or "awaken" as in "have an Awakening"?

Well, the body has to relax some time and basically lose consciousness for awhile.
That being said, people still have nightmares, which in my mind is like an in-between.
When the student is ready the teacher will appear.
Or maybe not.
Or maybe not.
Be careful about making such requests. In my experience, those who would accept lofty titles like "master teacher" or even more strangely, "Spirit Guide" are not the sorts you want helping you out. But maybe that's just my bias.
What I would suggest is posting up some threads in Seeker's Circle on RF. That place is intended as a safe space for members to find guidance from our diverse membership on their walks in life. Some of it will fit you, some of it will not. From there, it is up to you to trust yourself to be discerning in finding the bits of wisdom that flow well within you.

But I tell you to follow your sense and if you are not able to track the senses
I advise you to create emotions because they will issue storms
salute your emotions through alms, charity and giving

It's okay, I'm not upset about it. 
I seem to have found my peace with the Baha'i faith a short while after posting this thread and exploring different religions. I did scrutinize it (Baha'i) at first, and I hope no one took my scrutinizing the wrong way, just a quest for knowledge. But I've been pretty comfortable with where I'm at for awhile. Comfortable enough to finally put on my profile what religion I identify with, and not change it.
