Like someone posted elsewhere it's 365 to 1. I don't think it matters and it'd be a long winter here in a coldish part of the Northern hemisphere without it. Of course July would be perfect for Christmas in Australia, but it couldn't happen. Santa would have to move to the south pole.Um, are you saying Jesus was born on Christmas Day? I've heard that recent research is dating much earlier, like July.
And that's good enough for me.It is his Official Birthday.
A happy symbolic birthday my dear old friend.
Happy belated birthday, God!
Actually it's the first week in September, his death being the first week in April.Um, are you saying Jesus was born on Christmas Day? I've heard that recent research is dating much earlier, like July.
This, of course -- in case anybody wants to make generalizations about what Mormons believe -- is the gospel according to FFH and is not believed by any other Latter-day Saint I know. That aside, I don't know of any Latter-day Saints or of many other Christians who believe that Jesus was born on December 25 either. What day He was born on is of little consequence.Actually it's the first week in September, his death being the first week in April.
....What day He was born on is of little consequence.
What do you mean, "everything else in the Bible"? The Bible doesn't have anything to say about when Jesus was born, now does it? If it did, it would be an entirely different matter.Really? Everything else in the Bible is supposed to be so important, why not the time Jesus was born? Why is it such an elusive moment?

I believe Luke told the story quite beautifully. He just didn't mention the date. That's my point. One would think that the time Jesus was born would be acknowledged in some fashion by someone telling the story considering there are other things in the Bible that are described in far more detail.
To you maybe, but not to those who want to know what the whole December 25th thing is about and when Christ was really born.Katzpur said:What day He was born on is of little consequence
