Happy birth day Jesus

A happy symbolic birthday my dear old friend. We'll be cooking up a feast in your name today and if you can manage it, you are always welcome to drop in. We'll reserve that special place, just for you. If you can't make it, due to time constraints, we'll understand. Give my best to Dad and let him know I'll be there for my daily reports soon enough. Thinkin' of ya, dude.

Um, are you saying Jesus was born on Christmas Day? I've heard that recent research is dating much earlier, like July.

Like someone posted elsewhere it's 365 to 1. I don't think it matters and it'd be a long winter here in a coldish part of the Northern hemisphere without it. Of course July would be perfect for Christmas in Australia, but it couldn't happen. Santa would have to move to the south pole.

O Lord Jesus...have a happy birthday
2007 years already past away
Since You came ...........into this world
Trough Maria Your choosen one..a 16 years old girl
Thank You for Your great example life
To follow that .......we all should strive
Thank You for telling all about Your deeds and days
O how wonderfull.......... are Your great ways
What are we blind....what is our goal today?
All our paths.............. are gone astray
Why are we so blind....how will this end?
Why do we people.......... do not repent
Satan now is working hard to bring all of us in hell
O Lord come back ...........let Satans helpers fall
How great for You ..........is Satans hate
And...... for those who in You have faith
O Lord come back to reign with power
And bring us peace .........every hour
And allow our souls to unite
With Your eternal life and light

Actually it's the first week in September, his death being the first week in April.

Christmas is a celebration of Christ and his birth, but of course the date of December 25th is way off.

This, of course -- in case anybody wants to make generalizations about what Mormons believe -- is the gospel according to FFH and is not believed by any other Latter-day Saint I know. That aside, I don't know of any Latter-day Saints or of many other Christians who believe that Jesus was born on December 25 either. What day He was born on is of little consequence.

Really? Everything else in the Bible is supposed to be so important, why not the time Jesus was born? Why is it such an elusive moment?
What do you mean, "everything else in the Bible"? The Bible doesn't have anything to say about when Jesus was born, now does it? If it did, it would be an entirely different matter.

That's my point. One would think that the time Jesus was born would be acknowledged in some fashion by someone telling the story considering there are other things in the Bible that are described in far more detail.

I believe Luke told the story quite beautifully. He just didn't mention the date.

To you maybe, but not to those who want to know what the whole December 25th thing is about and when Christ was really born.

Christ was born in the fall, not in the middle of the winter.

Died in the spring.
