If thrashing heads isn't to your liking, think of it as an archaic paddle ball
That's more like something you'd think of it as.

Thank you everyone from last year -- I somehow missed this thread entirely a year ago -- didn't even know it existed until Terese bumped it tonight. Sorry about that.
So since you missed the thread last year, I suppose last year's wishes can count towards this year, so I don't have to say it again, right?
And here we are again. Have a new, great birthday, @Sunstone !
To a large extent I perceive reality as a direct result of my interactions with others, @Sunstone .Yup. Another year, another birthday. Just out of curiosity -- and since our birthdays are so close together, Luis -- do you ever notice many differences one year to the next? I mean in yourself.
Sometimes I do -- a few differences, minor ones, and not many. But most of the time, I don't feel I change much in a year. What about you?
To a large extent I perceive reality as a direct result of my interactions with others, @Sunstone .
The difference that each year makes is the legacy of my experiences during that year. So, for instance, 2011 was a year of great sorrow and disappointment, while 2018 was a year of great joy.
That's quite interesting. It makes a great deal of sense, too. People are quite important to us -- most of us, at least.
May I ask what made 2018 so joyful? By the way, best wishes for an even better 2019!
Happy birthday! I thought I was late to the party and then realized that most of those were last year's wishes.
I sort of assumed that to be fairly standard. It isn't?
Sure. I had a particularly constructive social and affective life. Both regarding what I let go of, and what I had the joy of being granted anew.
Thanks, and you are correct. I have come to appreciate the importance of a social network at the personal scale, as well as at the wider one.I think for most people other people have a pretty big impact on their happiness and well-being. Of course, you always have the odd psychopath now and then who seems unaffected by others in that way.
That's great news! I'm glad things worked our well for you last year. Kind of about time, I'd say. If I recall, you've had some rough years at times.

have a great celebration, Sun!
Happy birthday, Sunstone.
Enjoy reading your sunny posts !
Happy Birthday Phil.Thank you so much, Ajay0! That's very kind of you. Also a good indication you have me confused with someone else, such as @Terese or @adrian009. They have sunny posts.
Seriously, just so you know, I learn so much from you insights into mysticism.
Happy Birthday Phil.
I just love your philosophical musings and wit. Hope it’s a good one for you.
