Harris over Biden

We Never Know

No Slack
IMO the debate was a good indicator that Biden more than likely won't make it another four years if he wins.

With that said .... Again IMO... Reality is a vote for Biden is really a vote for Harris. How will that affect voting?

What are your thoughts on Harris and do you think she would make a good president?
Why or why not?

Note.... This isn't about Trump. Take your replies of "she would be better than Trump" and start a thread. No TDS needed here.

Harris has some positives....
- Never fomented insurrection.
- Never sent fake electors to over-turn an election.
- Never ordered a VP to over-turn an election.
- Hasn't argued to SCOTUS for the right of a Prez to assassinate political rivals.
- Hasn't been found culpable in court for sexual assault or slander.
- Isn't showing signs of mental decline.
- Hasn't promised persecution of political foes in office & the media.
- Better coiffure.

Biden should step down now. Many would be very happy with Ms Harris including me.However as one Democrat analyst pointed out.A few would not vote for a lady or a person of colour (sad I know). To win which they will not .Democrats would have to get someone else in.I wonder what Bill Clinton is doing.

I respect her and value her intelligence. I question her geopolitical experience.
All else being equal (which it isn't), my preference would be Whitmer, Newsome, and Klobuchar in that order.
Agreed and maybe even the order, but unless you want a real wild convention, that train left a while ago.
On the other hand, Biden's competence is not really the issue.

Biden might not die, but instead be gradually incapacitated as his senility grows worse. In which case he might kind of retreat into his bunker and rarely appear in public, never giving press conferences or anything interactive like that.

In that case, I expect him to be protected by his circle of "deep state" handlers, provided that he remains able to sign whatever they put on his desk. The Washington bureaucracy will protect him because they would be the real power behind the throne, and they know that they would lose a lot of that power if he was ever replaced by someone with a mind of their own.

And a sitting President is hard to remove, if he doesn't want to resign voluntarily.

I don't see it moving the needle very much. I don't think that there are a lot of Biden voters who wouldn't vote for him if they thought it might lead to Kamala becoming President.
