Funny coincidence you made a thread, I was watching the first one last night. :D Anyway, very difficult questions, I really have to think about it. Point is, I like a lot of them, they each have their strengths and downsides.

Hmm, my favourite book and movie was Goblet of Fire, because it is the turning point, I love the tournament and learning more about the magic world. It was a change of pace from the three of them trying to solve a mystery, instead trying to keep Harry alive during the tournament.

Favourite character is Dumbledore although I also really like Sirius, Snape, mr and mrs Weasley... Again I don't really have any clear answer.

Honestly, this would be a lot simpler if you asked me the least favourites, that's VERY easy.

Good thread :D

I haven't read the books in a looong time. I've been thinking of reading them again, but all my old copies got moldy in the garage

So, my favorite movie is probably Order of the Phoenix. Half-Blood Prince was also pretty good, but also sad, its the end of the familiar and the beginning of the end for the whole series.

I have a few favorites, I probably couldn't choose just one. I think my top three would be Sirius, Lupin and Dumbledore.

I did not read the books but I watched all 8 movies. So I know I'm working with incomplete information here.

Overall, I like the later ones way better. When I was a kid I liked the early ones, but they're so kiddy. But as a teen/twenty-something, the later ones were pretty awesome.

I guess I liked fourth, fifth, and sixth movies the best.

My favorite characters are Dumbledore, Snape, Hermione, and Luna.

Which book is your favorite?

Only ones I read were the Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Deathly Hollows. Out of the three, Chamber of Secrets was my favorite, probably because I had a hard time getting a picture in my head reading Deathly Hollows.

Which movie is your favorite?

The third one. I really feel like that was the turning point. The first two were still in the light of innocence and after the third one it flipped to the dark side of the coin. For some reason I felt lost after the 4th one - they were talking in terms that I never heard referenced before in the movie, like the Horcrux.

Which character is your favorite?

Snape or Hagrid, one of the two. A worthy candidate would be Voldemort.

Book. -- Deadly Hallows -- a satisfying conclusion, and deep story.

Movie -- Goblet of Fire. -- Acrion and character development/maturation.

Character -- Hermione -- for using her brain and determination over raw power, along with her unflailing dedication to her friends. She really is the brightest witch of her age. ;)

Yes. He became my favourite character after reading book 6. I figured out he was an amazingly complex character as well as a hero during that book.
I cried when he died in book 7 ...(although I figured that was going to happen)

Yes, because what major book series doesn't kill off a major character? And what better major character than Snape? :D

I think Order of the Phoenix was the first of the books I actually read. Before then I had been pretty disinterested and only really watched the films because we'd do it as a family thing. OotP was certainly a gripping read, so it probably ranks at the top for me.

Favourite film was probably the same, it had a dystopian feel to it which I quite liked.

Favourite character would be Ron... because... maybeIhavealittlebitofathingforgingers
