Yeah, I also really like Snape, augmented by the fact that Alan Rickman plays him and is awesome.

I had a feeling for a while before I read Half-Blood that he was actually a good guy somehow, and with the revelation of what he had been doing all that time, you realize how great a character he is. He went through about the hardest time of any character and remained strong and resolute. Great, complex character.

Yes, exactly! I started to sympathise with him properly in book 5 but didn't cement my theory until book 6. He is such a strong character and I think goes through the most hardship out of everyone. He is also great to use in fanfiction :D

...I don't know what you mean really.

I'm talking about the final duel, specifically.

I mean the weird ending that was in the book where it shows Harry taking his kids to the station on their way to Hogwarts for the first time. That was a fanfiction ending that J.K. included.

Oh yeah that's in it. I don't mind it so much...just wish someone would have remained childless to balance it all out.

I thought it was weird when I read it, it just seemed so out of place for the rest of J.K.'s writing, then I later learned that it had to do with some thing she did where she had fans submit epilogues and would choose one. The idea is nice, but the story is obvious fanfic and lacks serious quality, IMO.

Which book is your favorite?

Which movie is your favorite?

Which character is your favorite?

Book and movie is Prisoner of Azkaban. Half-blood Prince is a close second for book.

Favorite character is Snape. Also like Lupin in the books a lot.
