And if you actually understand genealogy, it is often use family names, like with Chinese genealogy. Then I stated that because of the similarities in pronunciation of our Chau family name, with that of Zhou dynasty, it would be a waste of time attempting to trace it. I clearly stated it was "waste of time" and "pointless".

What I didn't tell you back then, is that i knew that with Chinese genealogy have the tendencies to become unreliable after 300-500 years especially in Chinese genealogy, because official records are very poor, especially in rural regions. This is why it is waste of time.
