The peat bogs of the upper midwest in the USA are
the remnants of ice age lakes.

They preserve a record of pollen and other climate indicators

The pollen shows, since the glacial retreat, that boreal forest
was found far far south of where it is now, and, in turn
the mixed hardwood forest of say, Tennessee, was up
far into Canada.

I dont think anyone knows what initiated the ice age.
what caused the many big and small advances and retreats,
or why climate has been so unstable since the last
glacial retreat.

I kinda doubt algore would be very good on that topic.

My point was just informal regarding how the climate was different during Roman Britain. Ergo referenced the label used.

I suppose NASA is squeaky clean when it comes to pollution. Are their rockets solar powered or are they reliant on burning carbon fuel?

The BBC Newsnight report was hardly what could be called balanced reporting. Where was the climate realist?

Credit where it is due, they did show the graph proving the steady decline in the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions since 1990.

Their second report about the Pakistani raping of white British girls was far more balanced and informative.

Some people believe anything David and Greta say as gospel and without question.

Susan Crockford knows more about polar bears than both of the above and their advisors do.

As I have said before, I am not on the world’s stage being idolised by eco activists and nor would I want to be.

Being the recipient of all those gongs could explain why he feels he has to jump on the climate change bandwagon. Peer pressure is a terrible thing.

I have found no indication that he holds a degree in climatology, if there is such a thing. You are only allowed to be called an expert if you agree with the eco virtue signallers.

If Carbon Dioxide is a pollutant, are you going to stop breathing to save the planet?

Including the irrelevant and refuted opinions of conspiracy mongers is not "balanced". Just accept that your view is nonsense and any honest reportage will consider it such.

The smoke over Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne immediately after (and now looping back towards us) was/is considered hazardous. Hell in Sydney the air pollution was being compared to smoking 37 cigarettes a day by experts. Like I mean, damn!
As a local who grew up thinking that for a part of the year its perfectly normal to have half my country burn, this isn’t normal. This is like the ultimate perfect storm of just sheer devastation.
