Hatred of Christianity!

blackout

Violet.
Twisting the language I use to communicate with you to prove your point doesn't make you right.

If it is (a) wrong to rape someone,
can you not also say, just as easily,
that a person who has been raped, has been wronged?

*is glad she doesn't have to do the twist*

Arguing against me with a technicality is not logical either, but you are certainly doing it.

I only see personal bias here. I will not attempt to teach a blind man who covers his ears to the sound of my voice.

Whats the technicality here, that scientists and their research supports my position? I have to say that is a nice technicality.

Christianity demands people give up all the gods they trust. Some people will fight to the death against that.

Especially when such an idea is forced onto others and the term god is so broadened that everything could be considered a god.

Also, not all Christianity demands that.

Prove rape is wrong from the view of nature. It is based on human society. Nothing more.

how is human society not part of nature?

for all we know, there have been societies based on rape and wanton murder and whatnot, and they've been superseced by societies with social contracts. because then there's more brains and less brutes, and people can make projects that last longer than 5 minutes, who knows... nature may be casting her vote as we speak :p

Human brain - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Actually, the human brain trends towards shrinking.

uhm, and? so do computers. what is your point, other than falsely equating brain size with intelligence?

Thanks for not reading. I will not respond to anything you say until you have read that.

If I make a point based on a source, I expect those questioning the validity of my argument to at least check the source.

okay, so people are getting dumber.

so? all that proves is that the random guess I pulled out of my butt why society evolved towards social contracts is wrong. you didn't need to make that point, I knew that was just a random guess.

and it changes nothing - how is human society not part of nature, and how do you explain that it evolved towards social contracts if there's nothing in it for us?

Human society is part of nature in that we are geared by evolution to trend towards a certain pattern of social interactions. We understand some are acceptable and some are not.

I actually agree with you on that point.

Why do so many people want to point the finger at Christianity for the evil done in its name instead of pointing the finger at the human heart? Pointing the finger at Christians is the same as pointing the finger at scientists saying look how evil science is pushing these drugs that can destroy lives on every T.V. comercial that pops up.
Hey Got a sniffle? try Snif away!
Side effects include headaches, nashau, depression, liver disease, flat tires on car,dog runs away, wars and rumors of wars.........etc.
science is evil and slowly murdering people through chemical processes all in the name of the almighty dollar!
Can't point the finger at science for the evil in mans heart.
Those who are full of evil and hatred ,greed will spread it by anymeans necessary and they will use the Bible, science,or any other means necessary to justify themselves.
Its not the institution of Christianity that is evil just like its not science or medicine that is evil.Pharmaceutical companies used mans faith in science(and in doctors with dumb commercials) as a means to push there selfish agendas for profits.
I don't blame scientists or consider them evil even from all of the horror and devestation that has been done through its creations.
Attacking the establishment of Christianity for the evil that man has in his heart is the same as attacking science and medicine for the evil being done in its name.
Christianity is one of the most strongest love based religions I know of and is why it is always pesecuted and in the state of resistance against hatred!

I actually expected the OP to be based on how Christianity is a hateful, evil religion. There are certainly elements in it that would make people consider that. Like,

1. Eternal torture
2. Persecution against numerous groups, such as homosexuals
3. Withholding contraceptives in aids infested countries causing tremendous suffering and death
4. I could get into the crimes against humanity commited by Jews in the OT carrying out the will of god, but we'll just skip that part to make our morning a little easier, and because some Christians don't acknowledge much of the OT as relating to their religion. So lets go with the crusades and witch hunts today instead.
5. The mass rape of children by priests.

While I think there are many good Christians, I do think the religion itself, atleast in what I would call a traditional form, is indeed evil and a source of much hatred in the world. It can't be denied that there are good parts in the bible. But when the good parts happen to be mixed into a package that includes horrors and evils, the package itself is still evil.

Probably because sometimes there are people who call themselves "Christians" and do things that teaches the opposite of Christianity. For example, there are "Christians" who would sin for the 6 days of the week, goes to Church on Sabbath and then sin again for the next 6 days of the week. There are also "Christians" who argue with other 'Christian" sect because they believe that their "Christianity" is "true" while the other is "false". There are "Christians" who are well versed, but act differently from what they preach. Does that sound of being a Christian? Definitely not, but the sad thing is, majority of people do these things and unfortunately, many of them belong to Christianity, which makes the blame of non Christian fall on the Christendom.

You silly rabbit, the evil and hatred is in mans heart, its not in a religion.

Hatred does lay within the heart of humankind. We just justify it with our social institutions. Some people hate Christians, some Christians hate atheists, some atheists hate Muslims, some Muslims hate Buddhists, and I'm sure that even some Buddhists out there hold some hatred towards Hindus, etc, etc. You can't break the cycle with more hate.

The remedy is acceptance and love. You can play the role of victim or you can play the role of healer. You can focus just on the negative or you can seek to turn the negative into a positive. The choice is ours.

Exactly. The institutions we have are no more than tools and methods. Some people have and do use them inappropriately. Most Christians I have encountered are basically decent folks who will do anything good for another.
