I have not forgotten, not do I misremember.
9/11/2001-The attacks were orchestrated by a religious and political extremist group know as al Queda. The leader of al Queda, a man by the name of Osama bin Laden, is know to be hiding out in Afghanistan.
The religious extremist leaders of Afghanistan refused to hand over bin Laden.
10/7/2001-Afghanistan was invaded, and the hunt for the mastermind behind the attack was begun.
3/20/2003-Precious resources were diverted to an unjustified war in Iraq, the search for bin Laden was superseded by a need to show Saddam Hussein that the US meant business.
Present-Osama bin Laden, mastermind behind the terrible attacks of 9/11 still on the loose.

Interesting, you are correct. bin Ladens "Most Wanted " profile does not mention the 9/11 attacks.

Yes, it was a raging fire that took place in WTC Building 7! Encompassing about 4 floors, melting steel beams so fast, that the building could do nothing but fall in on itself; at free fall speeds!... About 12 hours after the other two towers fell.
Don't worry the US will never let us forget it. They mention it in every tv show/series, movie etc all the bloody time. I call it 9/11-ism.... Starting to get really old, really quickly. And not to forget there is always someone on programs that have been to Iraq. Used to be Vietnam now its Iraq.
