Have you ever Astral Projected?

I'm curious: how do you differentiate between dreams, lucid dreaming, neuronal disinhibition in the visual cortex and activity in the right tempoparietal region from OBEs and astral projection?

If you can control your dreams, that is a way of astral projecting. Meaning the actual ability to control your dreams, rather then just dream them. There is no distinction.

One of my dreams a year ago, I had dreamed that I was standing outside of a house. The amazing thing about that dream, was that when I got up, I remembered vividly everything including the name of the street and town, so I Google it; It was exactly in every detail I had seen in the dream. Could this be partly Astral projection OR Remote view ?

It is a type of astral projection. If you lean to control your dreams by keeping a dream diary, you can make your dreams do anything you want them to.

When it's getting through
I feel as if the time is coming around
I am finally going through this time in my life
Sure let me know i feel as if the time is coming around
I am finally going through my great disaster

Got divorced with the way i was and i tried to get away
So will you take me out of it for a while i'm a lusid dreamer
Will you take me out for a while knock me out cold
Will you take me out for a while im a lusid dreamer
Take me out in one fell swoop knock me out cold
Life is really easy when taken down apart
From up around the center a spiral blown heart
To give it some relation to give in to belief
Freedom to the limit the limits set you free

Yes I'm sorry I don't seem to get jokes about something that supposed to be in a serious debate forum. And it didn't seem like a joke

Read again. I never said they don't work, I said that Astral projection and drug don't really go together.

You know all, I'm sorry I would rather talk about this like adult then to make drug joke about something other take serious.

Uh oh... somebody's a little cranky..

I used to all the time as a child, not really knowing what it was or what I was doing...I actually referred to it as "flying" when I'd tell my parents about it. I have very distinct memories of them though no one ever believed me. I've never "tried" to do it as an adult and not sure I'd remember how - it was almost second nature as a kid, just something I would decide to do and then actually do with little to no effort. I remember as an older kid, maybe 9 years old, having not done it in a while and deciding to try and it being much much harder. Perhaps by that time, I'd heard enough that something didn't exist or wasn't possible and it started to affect my own perception of whether or not I could.

How are you sure you're Astral Projecting though? I've had many experiences with lucid dreaming, where I control my dreams, but I couldn't say it was astral projecting. The main reason is that I know for sure that it was nothing more than a dream: dragons don't actually exist and I don't have magical powers.

I've also had many instances of day dreaming, which seem very real, and is accomplished pretty much by what you are saying, but I couldn't consider it astral projecting either. There is no possible way that it could be simply because of the content of my day dreams.

So how do you know that you are astral projecting?

Do you came into these thread just to mock me when you see a post, or do you ever have anything of worth to add? There is no need for this crap. And stop making baseless assumption about me, I hate that.

I've astral projected a few times, sometimes dreams, and sometimes full-blown OBE. What about you?

Advisory: Caution, the following post may be offensive to some. If one is offended, please accept my deepest heartfelt apologies, then go have a cold shower.

More times than I think people will probably want me to rattle on about. Though I have not referred to them as "astral projections" much beyond my initial adventures, decades ago, my adventures continue to this day. Like yourself I have discovered several ways that individuals can learn to trigger this type of phenomena, though it might take a bit to get them down pat. In short, it is much simpler than many would imagine, but not as difficult as others may think.

As to those who tell you to beware of what you will find outside your body, I laugh in their general direction. Obviously, they don't have the slightest idea of what they are talking about. :)

yes, i am very interested in phenomneonology and its always been important to me to figure out whats the actual phenomenon i am experiencing.

As pointed out by others however this is always not so easy to tell.

I think monist is right tho, in the end astral projection is the same as lucid dreaming, the difference most people think is everything is only whether you hang out in malkut or tiferet whilst.

On the other hand, the atheist in me is fine with the idea that its just me an brainwaves, and is happy to help people to obtain those states of consciousness minus any hocus pocus.
