We don't need to know what for, only how many people it took to bring you in :D .

I myself, have not (yet) been.

I have never been arrested, but one time my cousin was for mooning a mall santa...inside the mall. That must've been a shock to my aunt.

I haven't been arrested, but I came very close when I was out celebrating my 18th birthday. The cops were all set to cart me off in the divvy van when my friend managed to find a taxi willing to cart my drunken and disorderly carcass off instead.

I got arrested stealing a pair of sunglasses for the grocery store. The worse part was when they found my pipe in my pocket. Retail theft and possession where the charges, but they were dropped. So I have been arrested, but not convicted.

I swear, I didn't inhale, and it wasn't mine I was holding it for a friend of mine.

Yes, for rabble-rousing. It was Sunstone who reported me. I don't know how many it'll take to take me in, because they haven't come to get me yet! I must be far too intimidating. (Or maybe they heard my "DBT" (Dangly Bits Theory) of creation/ evolution over in the debate thread, and they don't want to come near me, lest they be struck wordless...)

No, actually, I've never been arrested.

Twice:

Once for an anti-Vietnam war protest (I was 15). We were dragged onto a bus and the bus was heavily guarded. Then we went to the police station where the bus driver just left the bus. No guard, no driver, and no clue. It took us 15 minutes before we realised that we had simply been abandoned. We walked back down to Lake Eola to continue the protest! Bwahahaha!

The other was for leaving the scene of an accident that I had no idea had occurred. It was later determined that the car behind me had tried to cut me off and hit a telephone pole instead. It was easier for her to blame me, but her passanger accidentally admitted what happened and all charges were dropped.

I have been to jail 2 times, but in México. Once was for breaking-up a fight (they had to grab someone and the 2 who were fighting ran off). The second was for fighting with a bouncer......he gave me a dirty look. I learned mys lesson after the police ganged up and beat the crap out of me. For your knowledge, if you a run-in with cops in México, even if you know Spanish....act like you don't.......they will not normally hot Americans, but the don't hold back if they think you are Mexican.

Here in Michigan, you would never have known. Around here, if you don't actually hit the other car, it's termed a "one car accident". Doesn't matter if someone else "caused" it. If they weren't involved in the actual crash, the cops just say you didn't have control of your car. Case closed.

I've never been arrested or come close.

I was in jail 2 times in México. Once when I was 19, I tried to break up a fight. The 2 who were fighting ran off.....they had to take someone in. The second time, I jumped on a couple bouncers for looking at me the wrong way. Needless to say, the local police used me for a piñata for a few minutes. I quit drinking a long time ago....been out of trouble since.

On a side note.....even if you speak Spanish well....there are moments you use it in México and moments you don't......don't ever speak to the police in Spanish, unless it is something not-so-serious. If they think you are American, they will not touch you.

Yep, I've been arrested quite a few times.

For the worst time, it took three male cops to finally "secure" me (and by secure, they meant beat me into submission) enough to take me in. One of them ended up with a broken nose and just bruises and cuts on the others. So ontop of my Assault and battery/Assault with a deadly weapon/Attempted murder charges, they quickly added Assult on an officer.

For the record though, and so the rest of you don't freak out, my Attempted Murder charge was dropped and I didn't actually try to kill the girl, if that had been my intent, it wouldn't have been attempted murder. The other assault charges all stuck and I was convicted.

Yes I have once. Spent a few days in Los Colinas Women's Detention Facility in San Diego County California. Took two big ones to wrestle me down with one of them completely on top of me with a knee in my back as the other tried to wrestle my arms into cuffs. I was arrested for domestic abuse ironically. My ex-husband was throwing me around and I was finally fighting back and trying to get away from him and in the process I scratched his arm with my fingernails. He picked me up and threw me outside and called the cops on me, showed them his scratches, and without even checking me they went to arrest me. I fought because I was afraid what would happen to my 2 year old daughter with me gone. I was right though...he had kidnapped her when I got out.

I got her back shortly (I was lucky) and I never had any charges on me, though I was 3 days U.A. (Unauthorized Absence, same and AWOL) from the U.S. Navy. That never resulted in anything either though because my Command Legal Officer already knew about my circumstances and refused to prosecute me against the Command Master Chief's wishes.

I was lucky.

Ummmm...arrested? Me? .....Never! O.K. maybe twice. Both in West Virginia. Once for suspicion of theft(charges were dropped) and once for driving without a license because I got a ticket and didn't pay it.:tsk: BTW it took 15 cops and a couple of police dogs to take me in...... Oh all right it took one very friendly police officer.
