Have you ever been on a hot air balloon?

Did you enjoy it? I'd love to try that on the other side.

It was the first flight.

A French invention.

Yes, there are several montgolfiere companies near where i live. Summer mornings are best. But take something warm, even in summer with that flame roaring over your head it can get chilly up there.

Even low flying

I went to Rocamadour a couple of years ago to see the montgolfière show

Also google "the black Madonna Rocamadour" i think you will find it interesting. One bit that fascinated me is a sword stuck in the mountain, the story goes

The Archangel hurled the sword from the Pyrenees straight into Rocamadour’s cliff

Too long a way down.

Its not heights that are the problem

To quote Terry Pratchett
“Tiffany was not afraid of heights at all. She could walk past tall trees without batting an eyelid. Looking up at huge towering mountains didn’t bother her a bit.
What she was afraid of, although she hadn’t realized it up until this point, was depths.”

It takes some getting used to just having a wicker basket between you and the floor 1000 feet below. But i was assured it is safe.

That's the problem.....not feeling anything ever again.

It's going to happen when it happens, you can't change that. May as well go out on a limb and enjoy all life has to offer.

"Cowards die many times before their deaths; The valiant never taste of death but once.” (Julius Caesar, Act II, Scene 2)

Old Revoltistanian saying.....
The brave die only one death, but it comes soon.
Cowards live on to enjoy life.
