Do you think the term "ghost hunters" should be changed to "ghost seekers"? I'm neither, but I have to ask, how many people have enough of a conversation with a ghost to even be able to know such a thing?

I am non of those either but “ghost seeker” seems an interesting term to me; why not.

I know that there are many who say that they “speak” with ghosts …angels …gods …demons, etc. and, though I would not like to dismiss their experiences (it is not my place to do so in my opinion), I do often wonder whether “speaking” -in a literal sense- is what they really mean.

In my view, the immaterial (God, for example) “speaks” through concepts; not in words. Words are an imperfect human, worldly tool of communication. It’s the best we’ve got, but it is most lacking when addressing any spiritual experience.

I’d imagine that an encounter with a ghost that communicates anything else but its presence, would unlikely occur through speech. That, however, is not necessarily to say that it would not be understood as such. Possibly.

I didn't use the term "speech".

I think it’s more common for people to describe them as “stuck” between realms because of being unable to let go of their individual perception, their ego, their worldly conditions and attachments.

It is not possible to “go back to source” or “reunite with ‘loved ones’ ” or “rest in peace” or simply “die” or any other concepts they may have had about death, if they are unable/unwilling to grasp that their phase of life is over and must now be left behind.

Yes, I have. For the record, Frank, I'm fairly sure that I am the only actual ghost hunter (paranormal investigator) on RF. I've been actively researching and investigating the paranormal for the past 15 and a half years. Also, for the record, I do communicate directly with the dead, just as I do with the living.
